1. MEDIDATE EVERY DAY, EVEN IF ONLY FOR FIVE MINUTES.
Five minutes a day can change your life. The best part about meditating is that it is entirely up to you. You have the ability to create your own practice, and find a balance that works for you.
2. STRETCH OUT YOUR BODY EVERY MORNING WITH YOGA.
Have you thought about stretching as a gentle way to ease yourself into the day? Some studies suggest that, along with other forms of regular exercise, stretching could help you to relax, increase your flexibility, reduce lower back pain, and help to manage some other health conditions.
3. READ AT LEAST ONE CHAPTER OF A BOOK.
Schedule time to read, make it a habit, a ritual. Spend the last 30 minutes of your day reading something encouraging or uplifting. Read a chapter or two on your lunch break or while waiting at the doctor’s office. Read a chapter or two before you go to bed or when you wake up.
4. TIDY UP YOUR SPACE AND ACTUALLY PUT THE STUFF YOU USE AWAY.
Decide What You Want From Your Space: Think efficiency, focus, inspiration, joy, cleanliness, organization and so on.
5. GO OVER YOUR GOALS FOR THE MONTH.
Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality.
6. CHOOSE A QUOTE FOR THE DAY OR A FEW WORDS TO LIVE BY.
Ups and downs are normal, and it’s impossible to feel positive constantly. The key to bouncing back or finding a positive mindset quickly is having a dependable go-to when you’re down. Uplifting quotes always seem to help us feel better quickly, as well as grateful (a most powerful emotion) or simply help us recognize that we don’t have it so bad, and that things could be worse.
7. MENTALLY SEND LOVE TO SOMEONE ELSE.
If you see yourself seeking some kind of personal gain, stop there and reassess your thoughts and actions. Send your love to a person that you feel a mutual connection, and never do it to get something out of it. The love energy is unconditional and pure, and you should always keep it that way.
8. REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU’RE LOVED AND HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.
Sometimes, it’s easier to focus on what we don’t have, rather than what we do have. It’s important to take time out and remember all of the things to be thankful for that many of us take for granted.
9. DO SOMETHING THAT BRINGS HAPPINESS INTO YOUR LIFE.
Happiness and fulfillment are within your grasp, but sometimes just out of reach. Understanding what works best for you is the first step in finding them more often.
10. APPROACH THINGS WITH AN OPTIMISTIC MIND.
There’s the more immediate benefit, too, though; an optimistic mind-set simply helps our experiences feel more fulfilling and enjoyable. While many believe that optimism is something we’re born with in more or less finite quantities, we actually have some ability to shape our thoughts and actions–including our outlook on events.
